Rooms at the Trou aux Biches (and other designated hotels) may be reserved through the Congress registration system on the Congress website. A special Congress rate has been negotiated.

As part of the registration process, you'll be able to reserve your hotel room as part of the ICCA block. You'll also be able to indicate any special requests. For any changes after you have completed your registration, please email icca@investmauritius.com. Please do not contact the hotel directly, as they are only able to offer this special rate as part of the ICCA block of rooms for registrants. Note that the number of rooms available at the Congress hotel is limited and will likely sell out. Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please register early to ensure you have a room at the host hotel.

Important Dates

1 July 2015 Registration Opens – Registration online is open until Saturday 7 May 2016 and will still be possible on-site at the Congress.

Cancellation – notice of cancellation must be received at the ICCA Mauritius 2016 Congress Office, in writing, by Friday 8 April, 2016.

29 February 2016 Early-bird registration deadline – to receive an additional 10 percent discount for early booking.
Please note that to benefit from the Early Bird Discount, registration must be completed and payment (or proof of payment) must be received by 29 February 2016.

Friday 15 April 2016 Congress list of participants – for inclusion in the list of participants available at the Congress, registration forms and payment must be received at the ICCA Mauritius 2016 Congress Office by Friday 15 April 2016.

Cancellation/Substitution

Registration:

Any cancellation must be received at the ICCA Mauritius 2016 Congress Office, in writing, by Friday 8 April 2016 in order for fees to be refunded. A 15 percent administration charge will be deducted from each registration purchased. Please see Refund of Payments section below for more information. If you have made an accommodation booking, you are responsible for cancelling this separately. ICCA takes no responsibility for any financial penalties you may incur. After this date, no refunds can be made for registration fees; however, your registration fee can be transferred to a substitute delegate employed within your law firm/company/organization. Only one transfer/substitute per registration is permitted. All refunds will be made after the Congress.

Hotel Bookings:

  • From the confirmation date; i.e. booking to 6 months prior to the date of arrival: 40% cancellation fees
  • Between 6 months & 3 months prior to arrival date: 70% cancellation fees
  • 3 months or less prior to arrival date: 100% cancellation fees

* A discount of 10 percent will be given to ICCA Members with an email address associated with ICCA Membership.
* A discount of 50 percent will be given to nationals of African countries.

In addition to one of the ICCA or African discounts mentioned above, an additional 10 percent discount will be given to those registering before 31 January 2016.

Registration fees include:

  • Attendance at all working sessions
  • Congress documentation, including website access to any available speakers' papers, preliminary and Congress list of participants
  • Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception on Sunday 8 May 2016
  • Lunches, Monday-Tuesday
  • Tea, coffee and snacks during breaks
  • Access to the Internet Cafe

Accompanying Person Fee: €250.00

  • Access to the Internet Café

The accompanying person fee does not include or allow access to working sessions. Only registered accompanying persons are eligible to participate in the social program.

Gala Dinner (Registrant and Accompanying Person each): € 100

Payment of Registration Fees

Credit Card Payment:

Visa or MasterCard are accepted. All card payments must be made through the Congress registration page of the website. No other cards are accepted. Credit cards will be charged in Euros. Your credit card company will convert this cost to the currency of your credit card.

Receipt of payment without submitting a fully completed registration form does not constitute a complete registration and will not secure your place at the Congress. Registrations will only be confirmed once the ICCA Mauritius 2016 Congress Office is in receipt of both the completed registration form and full payment.

No Deductions or Withholdings

All fees payable to us by you in accordance with the terms contained in this information section shall be paid free and clear of all deductions or withholdings whatsoever. If any deductions or withholdings are required by law to be made from any fees payable to us by you under the terms contained in this information section you shall pay such sum as will, after the deduction or withholding has been made, leave us with the same amount as we would have been entitled to receive in the absence of any such requirement to make a deduction or withholding. If we obtain the benefit of any tax credit or other relief by reference to any such deductions or withholdings, then we shall repay to you such amount as, after such repayment has been made, will leave us in no worse position than we would have been had no such deductions or withholdings been required.

Refund of Payments

All cancellations received on or before Friday 8 April 2016 will be subject to a 15 percent administration charge deducted on all event fees including social function tickets. Refunds will only be made via the payment method they were originally sent. If a payment is refunded via bank transfer it will also be subject to any applicable bank charges.

Airlines

Mauritius is well connected to Europe (on Air Mauritius and Emirates), Southern Africa (on Air Mauritius and South African Airways), Central and North Africa (on Emirates, South African Airways and Air Mauritius), Asia (via Shanghai, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur on Air Mauritius, Australia (via Perth on Air Mauritius) and the rest of the world (via London on Air Mauritius, Dubai on Emirates and Johannesburg on South African Airways).

Delegates will receive a discount from bookings on Air Mauritius, Emirates or South African Airways and will vary depending on the selected route and airline. Delegates will be provided with an airline code for preferential air fare.

We strongly recommend early bookings of flights to maximise availability and ensure the best prices are available.

Language

The primary working language for both the sessions and Congress materials is English. Some sessions will be held in French. All Congress sessions will be simultaneously translated into French and English.

Access for the Disabled

The Trou aux Biches Hotel, the SVICC and the Gala Dinner venue are accessible by wheelchair. Please notify us if you require special assistance.

Visa Requirements

Mauritius is one of the most open countries in the world to visit. Many nationalities, including citizens of most African countries, do not require a visa before travelling.

All participants are responsible for checking visa entry requirements for Mauritius. Applications for visas can take some time to process and some attendees will have to apply for their visa in person at their local embassy. Please contact your local embassy for confirmation of entry formalities and apply for any required visa well in advance.

We advise that you check with your embassy a month prior to travelling to ensure that entry requirements have not changed.

We are unable to send letters supporting your visa application prior to receipt of your registration form and full payment.
